appropriate, the land is cultivated using sustainable farming practices to provide a wide-array of warm and cool season vegetables.  Our growing methods mirror our commitment to sustainable agriculture and the protection of open space; while providing food for our local communities.
These same sustainable practices are used with our pastured laying hens.  These hens are fed nonmedicated, specially ground feed, mixed in with a healthy dose of roaming on fresh pasture.  Allowing the hens to range freely on pasture, produces eggs that are nutritionally superior to grocery store eggs.  In addition to the health benefit these eggs provide, eggs from these hens produce fabulous baked goods.
Our pastured broilers and turkeys also enjoy the benefits of being raised on a daily buffet of fresh pasture.  Our broilers are raised in portable field pens which are moved to fresh pasture at least once, if not twice, a day.  Raising broilers on fresh pasture produces chicken that actually has flavor. The absence of unnecessary medications coupled with a healthy, natural diet, results in chicken and turkey that tastes better and is better for you.

Mountain Fork Farm is nestled in the foothills at the southern most end of the Appalachian Mountains in North Alabama.  Much of the farm remains largely unchanged from the time the Native Americans camped, hunted and fished here.  A large portion of the farm's mountain area is devoted to providing habitat for native deer, turkey, and a host of other small mammals and birds.   Where
